Christmas carols are played in the air again. It’s a season of joy! We are often busy with setting up the Christmas trees, sending email and facebook greetings, luncheon and shopping for a long list of gifts, preparing turkey dinners with family and friends. But for many people, Christmas is a time of sorrow. They don't have the extra money to buy presents for their children, family, and friends. Turkey dinners may be only a wish and not a reality. Many are saddened at Christmas time when they think of their loved ones who will not be able to come home for various reasons, and those who are suffering from illness…
Please join me to say this little pray:
“Lord, in this season of joy, let us not forget about the needs of the homeless and the hungry, let us open our hearts to those who feel unloved and forgotten, and to love one another. Be with those who travel, enrich our rejoicing, and strengthen the bonds between us. Shedding Your light on all who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death. Give strength and peace to all who suffer in body, mind, or spirit. Let Christmas be a season of great joy for all. Amen.”
